The Pakistan Engineering Council is a statutory body, constituted under the PEC Act 1976 amended upto 24th January 2011, to regulate the engineering profession in the country such that it shall function as key driving force for achieving rapid and sustainable growth in all national, economic and social fields. The council shall as its mission set and maintain realistic and internationally relevant standards of professional competence and ethics for engineers, and licence engineers, and engineering institutions to competently and professionally promote and uphold the standards
The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) was established in 1923. It was established to serve and represent the interests of the business community in Lahore, Pakistan.LCCI aims to represent its members and contribute to the nation's economic development through the promotion of trade and industry. LCCI acts as a bridge between the government and the business community. It plays an important role in policy formulation by maintaining a constant interaction with the relevant authorities.
The Federal Board of Revenue Act was passed in July 2007, whereby the Central Board of Revenue was renamed to the present-day Federal Board of Revenue and for a third time placed again under the Revenue Division of the Ministry of Finance.FBR is a semi-autonomous federal agency of Pakistan that is responsible for enforcing fiscal laws and collecting revenue for the government of Pakistan.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA), as corporate entity, was established under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Act, 2013, with the mandate to administer and collect Sales Tax on Services & Infrastructure Development Cess. KPRA is governed, with relative autonomy, has been placed under the Finance Department to have an interface with the Government.
Punjab Revenue Authority by Government of the Punjab is an exemplary body designed to devise unique systems to reduce tax evasions from the province. Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA), as corporate entity, was established under the Punjab Finance Act, 2012, with the mandate to administer and collect Sales Tax on Services & Infrastructure Development Cess.
